Swiss regulations concerning personal data protection are undergoing a major evolution, which has led to the General Regulation on the New Data Protection Law “nLPD” effective September 1, 2023.
Our company, committed to complying with regulations that improve relationships with our European customers, has brought itself into compliance and expresses in this charter its dedication to the quality of service provided to our customers, whether they are individuals or professionals.
This new regulation, concerning European citizens who are not professionals and are therefore considered “individuals,” strengthens the control by the citizen themselves over the use of their data. The regulation applies to all processing of personal data, automated or non-automated, whether this data is contained in or intended to appear in a file.
By definition, personal data is: “Any information relating to an identified natural person directly (name, surname) or indirectly (by an identifier, or customer number, a phone number…). The identification of a natural person can be achieved from a single piece of data (ABS Number, SSN) or from cross-referencing a set of data.
We only collect adequate and relevant data, strictly limited to the performance of the service you order and, with your consent, data related to our commercial and prospecting activities.
Your personal data is collected and processed to enable us to conclude, manage, modify, and execute the service you have ordered and, with your consent, to inform you about the services and products you can benefit from at APF Menuiserie.
Your personal data is intended for APF Menuiserie employees according to their function and for some of our subcontractors. All our staff members have been trained and comply with the nLPD. Our subcontractors are also in compliance with the requirements of the nLPD to ensure the proper execution of the ordered service. None of the collected information is transferred or sold to an unrecognized third-party subcontractor. Data is hosted exclusively in Switzerland and Europe.
Personal data collected and processed as part of an ordered service, a commercial contact, or sales follow-up is retained in accordance with the legal prescription periods set according to the nature of the contract and respecting Swiss rules, which is 10 years. For commercial prospecting, personal data is retained for 2 years from its collection or the last contact with the person concerned. The data is then anonymized to preserve the basis for the company’s statistical studies.
